ከአድካሚ የስራ ቀን በኋላ ወደ ጊዜያዊ ማረፊያዬ እየሔድኩ ሳለሁ በውስጤ ብዙ ሃሳብ  ይመላለስ ነበር። ተስፋ የላቸውም ብዬ የምቆጥራቸው ነገሮች ሲበዙ ከፈረሰው ነገር ባሻገር ማየት አቃተኝና ጥልቅ የሆነ ሃዘን ዉስጥ ገባሁ። ተስፋዬም እያሽቆለቆለ ሲሄድ ድምፅ አልባ በሆነ መቃተት ወደ እግዚአብሔር ተማፀንኩ።

ኢያሱ 1፡17
“ብቻ አምላክህ እግዚአብሔር ከሙሴ ጋር እንደነበረ ከአንተ ጋር ይሁን።” 

እግዚአብሔር ከእርሱ ጋር የሆነ ሰው በምንም ዓይነት ሁኔታ ውስጥ ቢያልፍ ልቡና ሃሳቡ በእግዚአብሐር ላይ የተደገፈ ስለሆነ አይናወጥም። እርሱ ሕይወታችንና የማይናወጥ ተስፋችን ስለሆነ።

የእምነት አባታችን አብርሃም ከሎጥ ጋር ሲለያይ ትኩረት የሰጠው የሚመቸውን ቦታ መምረጥ አልነበረም። እንዲያውም ምርጫውን ሁሉ የሰጠው ለሎጥ ነበር። ሎጥም ዓይኑን አቅንቶ ለምለሙን ምድር መረጠ። የእግዚአብሔርም ቃል ሎጥ የመረጠው ምድር እንደ እግዚአብሐር ገነት እንደነበረ ይናገራል። አብርሃም ግን ምርጫውን ከእግዚአብሐር ጋር አደረገ። ሎጥ ከአብርሃም ከተለየ በኋላ እግዚአብሔር አብርሃምን ዓይንህን አንስተህ ተመልከት፣ ዓይንህ የሚያየውን ምድር ሁሉ ለአንተና ለዘርህ ለዘለዓለም እሰጣለሁ ሲል ቃል ገባለት። የለመለመውን ሳይመርጥ በተስፋ የጠራውን እግዚአብሔርን ብቻ ስለተመለከተ፣ እግዚአብሔር አምላካቸው ላልሆነ አሕዛብ ሁሉ እንኳን የሚደርስ የዘለዓለም በረከት ተቀበለ። ሎጥ ለራሱ አየ፤ አብርሃም ከእግዚአብሐር ጋር መሆንን ስለመረጠ እግዚአብሔር አየለት።

በጊዜው የሎጥ ለምለም ምርጫ ፍፃሜው የሃዘን እንደሚሆን ማን አሰበ? ወይስ አብርሃምና ይስሐቅ በደረቅ ምድር ባለጠጋ እንደሚሆኑ፣ ዮሴፍና ዳንኤልም በባዕድ ምድር እንደሚወርሱ ማን አሰበ? መኖርያህ የዘለዓለም አምላክ ነው እንደተባለ፣ የሚያኖረን የለመለመው የማያኖረንም ምድረ በዳው ሳይሆን፣ በማንኛውም ሁኔታ ውስጥ ብንሆን ከሁሉ በላይ የሆነው እግዚአብሔር ከእኛ ጋር መሆኑ ነው። አሜን፣ ብቻ እግዚአብሐር ከእኛ ጋር ይሁን!

Joshua 1:17
‘’Only may the LORD your God be with you as he was with Moses.’’ 

A man who has God by his side will be sustained through whatever situation he may pass, for God is the true source of fulfilling life and the only unfailing hope.

When Abraham, our father of faith, offered Lot the choice of dwelling-place in the land, Lot lifted up his eyes, looked around and chose the most fertile and abundant land. The Word of God even resembles it to the Garden of Eden. But Abraham did not choose his place of abode for the sake of material possessions. He was so satisfied with God’s presence with him, it was enough to sustain him and enable him to stay the course of his call.

After Lot parted from Abraham, God told Abraham to lift up his eyes and look as far as he can see, for God has meant to give that land to him and his offspring forever.

Because Abraham gave up his own vision for the hope into which God has called him, God honored him with immeasurable blessing that even reached to the gentiles.

Lot looked & chose for himself; while Abraham preferred to receive God’s vision for him. Who could have thought that Lot’s choice will end him up in grief? Or, who could have thought that Abraham & Isaac could prosper in a dry land; and Joseph and Daniel will be lifted up to the throne in a foreign land? We will not be sustained in this World through the things that we have or not, but God’s presence will complete us and see us through in every situation. Amen, only may God be with us!

ዮሐንስ 1፡9
"ለሰዉ ሁሉ የሚያበራዉ እዉነተኛዉ ብርሃን ወደ ዓለም ይመጣ ነበር"። 

መፅሐፍ ቅዱስ ስለ መጥምቁ ዮሐንስ ሲናገር "ስለ ብርሃን ሊመሰክር መጣ እንጂ እርሱ ብርሃን አልነበረም" ይላል። የብርሃን ምንጭ ሰዉ አይደለም። የብርሃን ምንጭ ጌታችንና መድሐኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ነዉ። በእርሱ የሰው ህይወት የሆነ ብርሃን አለ። ይህንንም ብርሃን ጨለማ ከቶ ሊቋቋመዉ አልተቻለዉም ደግሞም አይቻለዉም።እናንተ የዓለም ብርሃን ናችሁ ሲል የብርሃንነታችን ምስጢር ከክርስቶስ ጋር መሆናችን ነዉ። ብርሃን መሆን ከእርሱ ጋር ያለን ህብረት ነፀብራቅ እንጂ ብርሃን ናችሁ ስለተባለልን እንዲሁ የምንሆነዉ ነገር አይደለም። 

ማንም ልቡናዉና ህሊናዉ በሚፈርድበት ኃጢያት ቢመላለስ በእርግጥ የክርስቶስ ብርሃን በእርሱ እንደማይኖር ግልፅ ነዉ። በጨለማም የክፋትና የርኩሰት ሁሉ ስራ፥ ለሞት ፍሬ የሚያፈራ ክፉ የስጋ ምኞት ይነግሳል። ከኃይል ማመንጫዉ የተለያየ የኤሌክትሪክ ገመድ ብርሃን ሊሰጥ እንደማይችል ከክርስቶስ የተለያየም ህይወት የዓለም ብርሃን ሊሆን አይቻለዉም። እናንተ የዓለም ብርሃን ናችሁ የሚለውን ቃል ለመሆን ከክርስቶስ ጋር ያለውን ህብረታችንን ጠንቅቀን ልንጠብቅ የግድ ይላል።

ዛሬ በብርሃን ነን ወይስ በጨለማ? ለምሳሌ የእግዚአብሔር ቃል የትዕዛዝ ሁሉ ፍፃሜ ፍቅር እንደሆነ ይነግረናል። 1 ዮሐንስ 2፤11 "ወንድሙን የሚወድ በብርሃን ይኖራል ማሰናከያም የለበትም ወንድሙን የሚጠላ ግን በጨለማ አለ፥ በጨለማም ይመላለሳል የሚሄድበትንም አያውቅም፥ ጨለማው ዓይኖቹን አሳዉሮታልና"። ዛሬ ፍቅራችን ሲፈተሽ በብርሃን አለን ወይስ በጨለማ? ራሳችንን እንመርምርና እንመለስ፥ ጌታችንም በብርሃን እንዳለ እኛም በብርሃን ብንመላለስ በእርግጥ የዓለም ብርሃን እንሆናለን።

ዮዲት ፋንታሁን

John 1:9 NIV
“The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the World.’ 

The Word of God described John the Baptist as someone who was not the light; but came only as a witness to the light. Man is not and cannot be the true source of light. The source of true light that lightens up the life of man is our Lord Jesus Christ. In Him is the light which is the life of men and which darkness cannot comprehend or withstand. The Word of God which says ‘You are the light of the World’ presupposes that the secret to being a light to the world lies with our fellowship with the Lord. To live out His reflection to the World, we need to nurture a constant daily walk with Him.

If anyone lives in sin, we know that the light of Christ will not dwell in him. As an electric line disconnected from the power source cannot provide light, a life without Christ cannot be a light to the world. All kinds of evil and the deeds of the flesh reside in darkness.

Today, do we live in the light or in darkness? For instance, let’s pose here to check our love, for the Word of God says that love is the fulfillment of the law. 1 John 2:11 says ‘But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in darkness; he does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded him.’ What do we see in our love, light or darkness? Let’s examine ourselves and live in the light, as our Lord dwells in the light. Then, our life will be a light to the world.
